Saturday and doing fine

Hi All, yes its me, I know I haven't sat and written in awhile but I have been a little preoccupied. Many of our hopes and dreams have washed away over the last few years and forced us to make changes in the direction our lives take. right now we are concentrating on getting well. finishing the house, our upcoming vacation to St.Louis and then maybe maybe getting a condo and selling the house. but only cause I want to buy another one and flip it..do this for couple of years and make it my new living and then Karen and I are heading a little further south, to be with Leo and Jodie. maybe Leo and myself can take care of the girls while we play semi pro golf....in our heads....can you get paid for that? anyways I feel good and I am looking to stay that way. see everyone in a couple of months for the class reunion in July..love to all and stay well live strong and go forward. 7th Treatment

Ted had his treatment today. Things went well. They cut his dosage by 25% so hopefully it won't kick his butt as hard. His CEA Levels were down to 7.2 This is really good. Not sure what his blood counts are this week. He is resting now and feels drained but otherwise ok. He goes back in two weeks to have his last dose. Doctor says as long as he cea levels stay down we won't have to do chemo again and hopefully the other drug will keep him stable and in remission. Love to all and have a great weekend.

So the plan is.......

Ted gets to skip a week and start again next week. This gives him another week to get stronger and get his blood counts up a little. The blood count is 30.3 so it has dropped quite a bit and this also contributes to his tiredness. The Doctor said that his cea levels are good and hopefully still going down that he thinks a little break won't hurt him one bit. We will pick up next week, which will give him memorial day weekend off. So it all works out. So far still two treatments to go. Hopefully the Doc won't squeeze in another one. The Cat Scan looked good no signs of thicking in the scar tissue, no enlarging of organs. Probably in a month or two he will schedule the Pet scan and that will tell us for sure how many cancer cells are still in there.

Ohh I forgot to mention that he finally pulled out of his funk the other day. He seems to be stronger and mentally sharper. Still tired but good. So this week off will definatly do him some good. Have a great weekend.

Some Family News

Well tomorrow we see the doctor and i'll post then. But for some good news that you might like to hear. Kyle was accepted into the Advance Technology Center for Digital Design. This is a half day program at another school that will allow him to learn more about drawing and designing and becoming a graphic designer. Out of 100+ application he was one of 20 accepted. He is also now an employee of Food Lion and making a check. YEAH! Samantha finished up Diving with 7th place for her age group. Pretty good considering she has been only diving for about 5 weeks prior to championships. She has only got a few days left running on the school track team. She has done well this year being her 3rd year on the team. She had gotton her 800m race down to 3:12. They both are doing so well and we are very proud of them. Talk to you all soon. Love, Karen

Rough one

Hi everyone. Just wanted to update you all. It's been a rough week and Ted has not been feeling well. This time the chemo kicked his butt bad. He is holding in there and hopeing to feel better each day. Hopefully next week they will kick down the chemo treatment or hold off a week. I don't think it would hurt much. I know if his counts are too low they will withold treatment anyways. Don't think we are giving up because we are not. We just don't want him to get too toxic. I'll keep you posted and hopefully he will pull out of this funk sometime soon. Love to all. Karen
