Company

We have been having lots of company lately. For those that don't know we move from NY to Virginia Beach 1 year before Ted was diagnosed. We will be here in Virginia for 6 years this December and Ted will be 5 years since his diagnoses on December 30. It's been a long haul with so many memories, ups and downs. He has totally remolded our house. Giving us a safe and beautiful place to continue raising our kids. I wanted to tell you of a wonderful weekend we had a few weeks ago, actually the last two weekends. The first one Ted's Sister (Jodie) and husband (Leo). There and our friends Bob and his girlfriend Melissa came from NY for a visit. Friday was just an ordinary day. We visited and had a fire that night. It was just a great day. Saturday came and some wanted to go to the beach. So we talked Leo into it by bribing him with Dairy Queen. So we went, there was some talk of piercings at the fire the night before. Yes you heard me, piercings. So we headed to Dairy Queen. When we arrived so did a fire Truck with two girls on bikes who had just finished a 66 day trip across the united states from Pacific to Atlantic Oceans all in the name of raising money for Cancer. Wow..amazing. Ted got his picure taken with the girls. They posted his name and picture on the website. I'll put that below for you if you want to take a look. After that we went and got icecream and some went on the beach. After our Pecan Mudslide..mmmm so good. We headed to the piercing shop..I didn't hear the conversation the night before and thought they were all joking. But NO, they were serious...well at least Bob was. So he stepped up and got his Nipples Pierced. Leo was a little hesitant and almost backed out. I won't call him chicken though. LOL...only because in the end he made a deal with a stranger to get their nipples pierced. So he did. It was hilarious. So not to be outdone totally, Ted got his ear pierced and Samantha got her trakus piearced. (which is a part of the ear.) It looks good on her. Anyway it was a blast! We headed home and had dinner and another fire that night. Ted stayed awake all day. Maybe it was the pain in his ear from the piercing. I don't know. Sunday they headed home and we all chilled here at home. Last weekend we had our friend Michelle visit withher 2 1/2 year old daughter. It was a little quieter of a weekend and no piercings. Ted still wants to get a tattoo again. Not sure if they will do it or not. I'd rather he didn't. But he is very stubborn and will do what he wants too.

Since our company Ted has been resting and working a few hours in the garage. Working on a few little projects. No more big projects. He takes a rest in the afternoon. Seems to be sleeping a little more these days. He wasn't feeling so well yesterday and couldn't keep anything down. We are hoping he will be able to eat today. He is up and in the kitchen working on his sudoku puzzles. One of his favorite past-times as of late. You can see changes in him all the time, and then he surprises you like last weekend and fluffs up his cape and moves along. He is amazingly strong. Ohh did I mention I got my tattoo. I'll post that below also. I think the healing process hurt the most. The actual tattoo didn't hurt that much this time. I'm not sure why....but it will be awhile before I get another one again. We have more company coming this weekend. I'll write more soon. Ted sends his best wishes to everyone.

Fluffed up his Cape!!

Well he did it again, fluffed up his cape and pulled it off. He is feeling much better. He woke up this morning, bright as sunshine and took a shower. The nurse came to chance out his needle. (one of these days i'm gonna take it out myself so he can be free when he showers) And then....omg.....we went to breakfast at the diner and had a great breakfast and enjoyed chatting with each other. It was a really good morning and I cherish these days. He is right now, sitting on the couch catching up on smallville and the shield episodes he missed. So your prayers and thoughts worked and got him moving again. Thank you!!!
